Executive Assistant Director

About the role

The Executive Assistant Director will assist the Director in all aspects of managing and overseeing operations at the care home facility. They will be responsible for providing administrative support, managing projects, coordinating and communicating with staff, residents and families, and ensuring the highest level of care and services are provided to residents.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Director in developing and implementing policies and procedures to improve the overall functioning of the facility.
  • Coordinate and oversee facility activities, including staff scheduling, resident services, and maintenance of the building and grounds.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure the smooth running of day-to-day operations.
  • Assist in managing budgets, monitoring expenses, and preparing financial reports.
  • Help in recruiting, training, and supervising staff to ensure quality care is provided to residents.
  • Communicate with residents, families, and staff to address concerns, answer questions, and provide support as needed.
  • Oversee and coordinate quality assurance programs and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.
  • Assist in developing and implementing marketing strategies to promote the facility and attract new residents.
  • Provide support to the Director in strategic planning and decision-making.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a management or administrative role in a healthcare setting, preferably in a long-term care facility.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize workloads, and handle high-pressure situations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software programs.
  • Knowledge of OARS
  • Compassionate and caring attitude towards residents, families, and staff.
