House Manager

About the role

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated individual to join our team as a Care Home Manager. The Care Home Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the care home, ensuring the highest level of care and support is provided to residents.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and lead a team of Direct Support Professional and all other support staff.
  • Ensuring implementation of care plans for residents and that their individual needs and preferences are met.
  • Monitor and evaluate the quality of care provided, making necessary reports to the program director in order to maintain such.
  • Manage the care home budget, ensuring financial resources are allocated effectively.
  • Overseeing the Individuals financial ledgers to ensure that onboarded staff and veteran staff are following protocol.
  • Maintain a safe and welcoming environment for residents, staff, and visitors.
  • Liaise with families, healthcare professionals, and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations (OARS).
  • Handle any complaints or concerns raised by residents or their families in a professional and timely manner while communicating such complaints with the program director as needed.
  • Keep up to date with best practices in the care industry and implement any necessary changes to improve the quality of care provided.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a managerial role within the care industry.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong leadership and decision-making abilities.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations governing the care sector (OARS).
